From the Preemie Flow nipple, which limits the flow to tiny mouths to the Y-Cut nipple which literally utilizes a “Y”-shaped opening to allow for greater milk flow, you’ll find the bottle nipple that’s the perfect fit for your baby’s feeding needs.
One Size Does Not Necessarily Fit All
Keep in mind that the Bottle Nipple Chart serves as a general guideline for choosing a bottle nipple but is by no means an “end-all” solution. It is important to carefully watch the feeding habits of your little one. For instance, is your three-month-old not seeming to get enough from the bottle at feeding time? Moving her up from a Level One to a Level Two bottle nipple may be in order. Adapt your bottle nipple selection to match your baby’s feeding style, regardless of age.

Preemie Flow - For preemie babies - Dr Brown's Preemie Flow Nipple is our slowest flow nipple, great for premature and breast fed newborns.
Level One - For newborns 0+ months - Dr Browns Level 1 Nipple is a great place to start with a slow, paced flow, engineered for a consistent rate.
Level Two - For babies 3+ months - Dr Browns Level 2 Narrow Nipple is a medium flow nipple, great for babies whose feeding has developed.
Level Three - For babies 6+ months - Dr Browns Level 3 Narrow Nipple is a medium flow nipple, great for older babies who are pros at bottle feeding.
Level Four - For babies 9+ months - Dr Browns Level 4 Narrow Nipple is a fast flow nipple, designed for babies who are more developed or prefer a quick flow.
Y Cut - For babies 9+ months - The uniquely designed Dr Browns Natural Flow Options + Y cut Narrow Nipple is a fast flow nipple, made for use with thicker liquids.
