What is Gingerol?
Gingerol (pronounced “ginger-ol”) is one of the many, naturally occurring nutrients that are part of the ginger root. Just like vitamin C naturally occurs in citrus fruits. Ginger naturally contains many different gingerols and shogaols.
Are there different types of gingerol?
Yes! Just like there is more than one type of B vitamin: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7 (biotin), B9 (folate), B12; there is more than 1 gingerol in ginger roots, including gingerol-6; gingerol-10.
